Roasted Stuffed Figs with Goat Cheese, Honey, and Pistachios! All baked in the oven and served with baguette! A fantastic festive yet simple appetizer with fresh figs perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium-sized figs
  • 3 oz / 80 grams of soft goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. Remove the stems from the figs and make a careful cross-shaped incision on the top of each fig, cutting halfway through.
  3. Use a teaspoon to generously fill the figs with soft goat cheese. Place them in a small ovenproof dish.
  4. Now, sprinkle the chopped pistachios over the stuffed figs and drizzle the figs with honey.
  5. To intensify the flavor, add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper according to your preference.
  6. Bake for 5 Minutes, then Place the dish under the broiler for approximately 1 minute or until the figs appear tender and release their natural juices.
  7. These figs can be served either warm or chilled and are an excellent accompaniment to a glass of wine.
