Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups frozen berries / 500 g
  • 1 3/4 cups mulled wine
  • 1 piece approx. 50 g ginger
  • 2 1/4 cups jam sugar / jelly sugar 500g
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 star anise

Instructions

  1. Heat the mulled wine with the spices and let it steep for about 15 minutes. Put the berries in a tall saucepan, peel the ginger, finely dice and add. Pour in the mulled wine and stir in the jam sugar. Bring everything to a boil while stirring and let simmer for 4 minutes. If you like a smooth jam, you can now blend it.

Fill the jam into glasses, close and let cool down.

Close the jars and place them upside down for about 15min (this ensures that the lids create a tight vacuum). Merry Christmas!

  2. The jam can be stored in a cool place for about 1 year.
  3. But of course it tastes best now at Christmas time!
